The real sun rises long before dawn;

It is the breath of the sun, the life of the sun,

The sun’s wisdom.

No telescope can see it:

It is vast, unbounded,

The real sun is visible while our eyes are still closed.

This sun is muscular, soft, appealing,

Happy, greater than food,

Finer than flowers.

The sun that rises at dawn is the child of this real sun,

Draws strength and kindness

From this real sun,

Brings life to all through this real sun.

How lucky we are to wake before dawn,

To dawn before dawn,

To be real.
